About Jharkhand Rai University (JRU)

Jharkhand Rai University (JRU) is a Private University established by Jharkhand State Legislature under “Jharkhand Rai University Act, 2011”. However, physically it came into existence in 2012. Jharkhand Rai University is sponsored by Rai Business School which is a reputed institute in management education since 2002. Jharkhand Rai University is also supported by Rai Foundation and its international governing board. The University has a well designed infrastructure that facilitates numerous services for both the students and the staff members. JRU campus is spread across 7 acres of land in Kamre, Ratu Road, Ranchi which includes 1 Lakh sq. feet of Academic Block, a separate building for boys and girls hostel spread across 30,000 sq feet area and 22,000 sq feet area for staff quarter building that comprises of 16, 2BHK flats. JRU has its own Research Centre of Excellence (RCE) that fosters research and innovation. It also facilitates programmes like student exchange and entrepreneurial internships to students. Evaluation at JRU is based on the choice-based credit system, continuous evaluation system, and the grading system. Choice Based Credit System designed as per UGC guidelines, is a flexible system that permits students to earn the requisite credits and choose subjects from a wide range of courses offered by the University departments. In this type of system, the students can acquire more than the required credits, and can even adopt an interdisciplinary approach to learning. Continuous Evaluation System is meant to evaluate all the aspects of a student’s development and includes Assignments, Mid-term, Class participation/ Teacher Assessment and End Semester Examination. Internal Assessment carries 30% weightage whereas the End Semester Examination carries 70% weightage.

Jharkhand Rai University (JRU) Undergraduate Admission 2019

Jharkhand Rai University offers a wide range of UG courses like B.Sc., B.Com., B.Tech., BBA, BCA, BHM, BFT courses under various specialization subjects. The duration for all the Undergraduate courses is 3 years except B.Sc.& B.Tech, which are of 4 years.

JRU provides the B.Tech. degree in 6 different specializations under both regular and lateral entry programmes. The duration of regular B.Tech. lateral entry course is for 3 years.

Admission to all the Undergraduate courses at JRU is based on the merit of the last qualifying examination.

Jharkhand Rai University (JRU) Postgraduate Admission 2019

Jharkhand Rai University offers a plethora of courses at the PG level under which includes M.Tech., M.Sc., M.B.A., M.C.A., M.Com., BJMC degrees under various specialization subjects.

The duration for MBA, MCA (lateral entry), M.Sc.,M.Com is 2 years and M.Tech.,MCA, BJMC degrees are offered with the duration of 3 years. Post Graduation Diploma in IT domain is also offered by JRU.

Admission to all the Postgraduate courses at JRU is based on the merit of the last qualifying exam.

Jharkhand Rai University (JRU) Ph.D. Admission 2019

Jharkhand Rai University offers Ph.D. programmes in the streams of Science, Arts, Commerce, Management and Information Technology under various specialization.

Like other courses, admission to the Ph.D. courses, are done on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination. An eligible Student must have obtained any Master’s Degree or equivalent from UGC/AICTE recognized body with a minimum of 55% marks

For students belonging to SC/ST community a relaxation of 5% marks shall be given in the minimum eligibility marks

Students who have qualified GATE/ NET/ SLET/ M.Phil/ People with 15 years of experience in related field with exceptional achievements (Subject to the discretion of the Vice-Chancellor) will be exempted from the entrance examination. However, they have to qualify in the interview organized by the University for admission into the Ph.D. programme.

And you can easily fill the JRU Admission 2019 Application Form and Fee on or before the last date i.e. 30th April 2019.
